Biography
Coco Moya (spain, 1982) studied at the Fine Arts Complutense University of Madrid, and afterwards a Master in Creation and Research. She develops her art practice on her own, and also in collective with the musician Iván Cebrián, with whom she uses photo, installation and sound to create performances and interactive installations that mix nature, art, technology and rituals. She coordinates the Sound Encounters at the Fine Arts University UCM, around experimental music, and The Green Cube, a net of art-space projects in rural areas.
She has exhibited in national art centers such as Azkuna Centroa (Bilbao), Museo de la Evolución Humana (Burgos), LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial (Gijón), Sala Borrón (Oviedo), Sala de Arte Joven de Av. América (Madrid), CICUS (Sevilla), Casa Velázquez (Madrid), Nau Côclea (Girona), La Casa Encendida (Madrid), Art Mustang (Elche), o BaumanLAB (Terrasa); and internationals, such as Museo de Arte de Viana (Oporto), Forsøgsstationen (Copenhague), Playgrad (Bulgaria). She has received grants such as Circuitos de Artes Plásticas Comunidad de Madrid, LABjoven Los Bragales Prize, Residence Grant at Casa Velázquez.
